Kindergarten Registration

              April 2009

Dear MISD Parents:

Kindergarten Registration for the 2009-2010 school year for all MISD elementary schools will be held at each elementary campus on Thursday, May 7 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 8 from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  The child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2009 to attend kindergarten. Parents must bring the following information to register their kindergarten child:

    - parent’s proof of residency in the Mesquite school district

    -the child’s birth certificate or other suitable legal document

    -child’s social security card if he/she has one

     -child’s immunization record (up-to-date)

     -the parent’s driver license or picture identification

If a language other than English is spoken in the home, an appointment time for language testing will be given to the parent during registration.

If you have any questions, please contact the campus your child will attend. If you are not sure which elementary school your child will attend, you may call 972-288-6411, or you may go to www.mesquiteisd.org  to the box labeled “Shortcuts.” Click on “School Locator” and follow the directions.

Students who will attend kindergarten at Achziger Elementary will register only on Thursday, May 7 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Terry Middle School. Further registration for Achziger Elementary will take place during the summer on dates to be posted on the MISD website.
