Horn Football

The JHHS Varsity Football team is playing the Lake Highlands, at Hanby, on Friday, September 3.

Senior T-Shirts

You can start ordering senior shirts this Wednesday, September 1. We have two shirts this year, a baseball tee and a regular tee, both have the same design. They will be $15 each. They will be sold in B-day lunches.

Spanish Club

Our first meeting will be next Tuesday, September 7. We will be celebrating the Independence of various Latin American Countries. We will meet in Portable 12 after school.

Multicultural Club

There will be a meeting in the cafeteria on Wednesday, September 8 after school for all members, new and old, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Attention all Seniors

We are creating a senior photo collage in the senior section. If you would like to have a part in this collage you can turn in your personal pictures to be put on the wall. Pictures can only contain 2011 JHHS Seniors and must be appropriate. Photos can be given to one of your teachers with your name written on the back.

Attention Students

John Horn Campus News will be holding auditions on Wednesday, September 8 at 3:45 in the Library. Anchor positions available are Lead, Sports, Clubs and Organizations, and Entertainment. Audition packets are available in the front office.

2010 Homecoming Dance

The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, September 11 at the Hampton Inn in Mesquite.

Tickets will also be sold Wednesday, September 8 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the main hallway at Horn. Tickets then will be $40.

Tickets will also be sold Thursday, September 9 during all lunches in the Cafeteria. Tickets will be $40 each.

To purchase a ticket you must have an ID or your CURRENT class schedule.

Guests must be High School students at least 14 years of age or younger than 21.

Parking Passes

Student parking passes are now being sold at the ticket booth before and after school. The cost is $18. You must have a sticker on your car before September 20.

To All JHHS Students

Please plan to use last year's student ID to check out from the library until the new student ID's come in.

To All Freshman Students

Please hang onto your middle school ID. You may use this when you come to the library to check out books with your class.

Attention Jags

Please park in the assigned student parking areas and NOT in the faculty parking. Failure to do so will result in a lovely ORANGE sticker that will be (very) hard to remove from your window and possible loss of parking privileges. Thank you.

Students...

Please do not walk through yards or climb fences when walking to and from school. Property is being damaged. When you are caught walking between houses and climbing fences, a citation will be issued and you will be made responsible to pay the damages.

You must call in before 3:00 in order for you child to have early release.
