Paul Ballard has been in education for twelve years, all in MISD. His first ten years he taught English and coached. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M - Commerce. He received his Master of Science in School Counseling from Amberton University and has been a high school counselor for two years. He is married and has three children.

Madelyn Hill has been an educator for 19 years, 12 in MISD. She taught English for 14 years and has been a counselor for 5. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) and her Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, four kids (two are graduates of MISD) and 3 grandchildren.

Karri Pritchard has been an educator for 10 years, all in MISD and is also a MISD graduate. She taught Chemistry for 9 years at Mesquite High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She received her Master of Arts in School Counseling from Amberton University. Karri is very happy to start her counseling career here at John Horn High School. She is happily married to Chris Pritchard and has two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Lanie.

Sarah Robinson has been in education for 13 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston. She has taught 2nd and 4th grade Language Arts and taught Dance and Drill Team at the Secondary Level for 9 years. She received her Master of Science in School Counseling from Amberton University and has been a high school counselor for three years. She is married to Doug Robinson and has a beautiful three year old daughter, Ava.

Yolanda Deatherage has been in education for nineteen years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and taught Pre-K for seven years. She received her Master of Science in Counseling from East Texas State University. She began her counseling career as an elementary school counselor and worked in that capacity for six years. She moved to the high school level six years ago. She is married and has two children.
