- AMERICREW hours for 2008 must be submitted no later than May 29th. AmeriCrew students who desire to maintain their membership in AmeriCrew must turn-in documentation of hours earned from 1st, 2007 through April 30th, 2008. AmeriCrew documentation forms are available in the front office. Please place all documentation in the AmeriCrew box in the main administration reception area.
- The last recoup dates are Tuesday, May 20th and Wednesday, May 21st.
- Attention students and teachers - Have you been planning a special farewell to a graduating senior but don't know what to do? For 10 cents anyone can write a 50 word farewell to a senior that will be featured in the last issue of the Rosette newspaper. Anyone can buy as many as they like but it must be to a senior or a senior may write one to a teacher, as well as a fellow senior. Stop by the newspaper table during all lunches every "A" day to write your farewell to a senior! The last day to purchase a farewell will be Wednesday, May 14th.
- Seniors - tomorrow is graduation ticket pick up day. You may pick up your tickets at the Ticket Booth tomorrow from 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. You must have your ID.
- Attention all Powder Puff Participants - There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, May 13th, after school in the Cafeteria at 4:00. If you can't make it to this meeting please talk with Josh Hudgins or Kati Aceves to get the needed information.
- We now have an events line that you or your parent can call for weekly and upcoming events at Horn High School. The number is 972-882-5252. It will be updated on Monday of each week. We encourage everyone to call often.
- Attention students - the weather is changing and several students are wearing unapproved jackets. If you wear a jacket it must be a solid color with no lettering or pictures on it. You may wear any approved Horn Jaguar jackets. Also, ladies you must wear your pants outside of your boots. Furry boots are not allowed. Hoods are not to be worn on your head inside the building.
- Re-coup schedules are available in the front office or in a link at the top left of this page. If you plan to attend Saturday recoup, you must sign-up with Ms. Zuber first in the discipline office.
- For the remainder of the year, the library plans to make IDS before school every Friday morning unless otherwise notified - the library opens at 7:45. The cost is $5.
- Only parents and/or Youth Ministers are allowed to visit with students at lunch. In addition this policy, lunches from restaurants may no longer be dropped off for Horn students; however, it may be brought if the parent/guardian stays to eat lunch with the student. That parent/guardian may not bring lunch for any other students. The policy/program can be found at www.agr.state.tx.us.
- Due to the high amount of class disturbances, we will no longer be able to deliver phone messages, lunch money, lunches, or any other type of deliveries. Please help your students plan ahead and have their school items ready the night before or the morning of the school day. Your students must have a "Plan B" in the event of unforeseen problems. In order to prepare our young adults for life, they must learn how to plan for themselves and to solve any problems that come their way.
