Attention Seniors of 2010... You can now pre-order a senior shirt for only $15 in the cafeteria during A day lunches. You can also order them before and after school in C13 or D15 until February 11th.

Cheerleader Meeting

There is a manatory parent meeting Thursday, February 4th at 7:00 pm in the lower gym for anyone trying out for 2010-2011 NMHS cheerleader. You must be present in order to tryout. Please remember that your application, 3rd six weeks report card, and $12.00 is due Friday, February 5th by 4:00 pm to C-10 or Portable 978 in order to tryout.

KEOM Student Tryouts

KEOM Radio is now scheduling audition appointments for students who are interested in taking Advanced Broadcast Journalism as an elective next year.

MEA Scholarship

Seniors, the MEA scholarship is now available online. Applications must be turned in to the counseling center BEFORE February 12th.

Do You Need Financial Aid?

The help you need will be in the NMHS library at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9th. Financial aid experts will be here to help you fill out your FAFSA form. Both English and Spanish speaking experts will be present!

Submit an Announcement

  • The biennial UIL reclassification and realignment for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years will be released Monday, February 1 at 9:00 a.m. CST. The information will be available online via the UIL web site. The new alignments will serve as football and basketball districts for the next two school years.
  • Attention World Quest Teams: Please come by B-4 for a very brief meeting on Thusday, February 4th after school for information on our Saturday competition at UTA. Be sure to bring your signed permission slip. If you need a permission slip, see Mrs. Frith in F-103.
  • Attention Student Council Members: Officer applications are available for the 2010-2011 school year in room C13. Please fill out the application as soon as possible and set up an interview date. Only current members in good standing may apply. Applications are due February 12th.
  • Revolutionary Writers: Every great movie has its script, every beautiful song has its lyrics, every poem - a touch of elegance and grace. These are just a few examples of what you can do at the Revolutionary Writers Club. Meetings are in D-5 on Thursdays. The Revolutionary Writers Club - Where Talents Abound!
  • Are you interested in hands-on research experience? Are you interested in Math or Science Education? Are you a highly qualified high school junior or senior? If you are, the Clark Scholars Program is offering a 7 week summer research program in all areas of research interests. Applications must be received by March 5th... so get down to the counseling center for more information.
  • Student Email Accounts: Students now have a school email address! This is a safe, filtered, and monitored email system designed specifically for use with students. More information is now available online.
  • Don't forget to attend weekly conferences with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Keep in mind the people of Haiti and our upcoming mission.
  • The NMHS PTSA website is available for YOU! Check out the wonderful information and keep up with how you can get involved with our PTSA.
  • Parents and students should take the time to review the NMHS Attendance Guidelines.
