MISD Film Festival - open to students in the CTE P&S class only

Career & Technical Education (CTE) program courses allow you to get hands on experience and training in a variety of skills and careers. You can even earn college credits and get paid while going to school! Learn new skills, get college credit, earn a real paycheck. In an increasingly competitive job market, Mesquite ISD's Career and Technical Program can give you the extra step you need toward your future.

Our desire at PHS is to customize not only a degree plan for our students' highschool years, but also provide each student with the tools to customize their plan for the future!

Along the navigation bar below, students can visit Achieve Texas where they can find out about varioius Career Clusters. This is a great tool to use when researching careers that are of interest to our students.

O*net online provides tools to help you find occupations based on skills, tools and technology, high-growth industry, job zones, etc.

Work In Texas offers a vast list of opportunities in the Health industry.

PHS Technical Prep program is a program with Dallas County Community colleges where students are able to earn up to 15 hours of college credit in articulated tech prep classes.

Pre-employment labs are designed to provide students with employable skills upon graduation from high school.

Reality Check is an online tool allowing students to find out if their career of interest will be able to financially support their desired lifestyle.
