In 1993, the Texas Legislature enacted statutes that mandated the creation of the Texas public school accountability system to rate school districts and evaluate campuses. The system has changed throughout the years with additional indicators being added and others removed. This comprehensive report is available for both districts and individual campuses in the state and can be easily accessed through the Texas Education Agency website at the following address:

A copy of the district AEIS report will be available after January 11, 2007 at each MISD school library and at the main Mesquite public library.
