Agnew Middle School

Junior Honor Society
NJHS is a co-curricular activity that actively supports the educationals goals of the school. Also, it is an opportunity to involve the chapter members in significant learning experiences, especially in the area of service. NJHS' principle is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage citizenship in the students of secondary schools.
Congratulations to the 2011-2012 officers:
- President: Christian De La Garza
- Vice President:Shelby Winegar
- Secretary: Lauren Dillard

Mesquite Education Foundation.
Forms:
NJHS members also must participate
in a one hour community service project each six weeks.
Each six weeks we will focus on a different area of
the community. Babysitting for family members doesn't count...this is COMMUNITY service. If you have questions about what is an acceptable service project, see one of your sponsors for approval.
In addition, NJHS members must attend one extra-curricular Agnew event each six weeks. They can either be a spectator or a participant at a sporting event, concert, program, or club activity.
NJHS members must maintain the 90.0 average and excellent conduct that enabled them to be inducted into our organization in the first place. Conduct checks will be done at the first meeting of
each six weeks. Members need to bring their report cards to that meeting.
