Directions to Reicher Baseball/Softball Complex:
I-35 South to University Parks Drive (exit 335 B) in Waco. Turn east (toward Baylor Campus). Follow signs for SW Region Little League Complex. Turn left about 2.5 miles past the Ferrell Center. The Softball field is the 3rd field.

PHS's Courtnie Allen Honored by TGCA

Poteet HS senior Courtnie Allen has been named to the Texas Girls' Coaches Association All State Track Team and Academic All State Girls Track Team. Courtnie is a 4-year varsity track athlete, a member of the National Honor Society, and will graduate in the Top 5% of her class. She qualified for the 4A Region 2 Finals in 2005-2008, and won the silver medal in the 4A 300 meter hurdles at the 2008 UIL State Track and Field Championships.

MISD Athletes Win Silver Medals at State Track and Field Meet

Olivia Amy, Horn HS junior, and Courtnie Allen, Poteet HS senior, each won a Silver Medal at the UIL State Track and Field Meet at UT's Mike A. Myers Stadium. Amy finished second in the 5A 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.18 seconds. She also captured 6th place in the 5A 300 meter hurdles. In the 4A 300 meter hurdles, Allen finished second with a time of 42.87 seconds. In the 5A shot put, Kelsey Samuels, Horn HS junior, claimed 5th place with a throw of 42-08.

Pre-participation Physicals Offered at Mesquite High School

Middle school and high school athletes who attend or will attend Mesquite HS, North Mesquite HS, or John Horn HS can obtain their pre-participation athletic physical for 2008-2009 at Mesquite HS on Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 9:00 a.m-1:00 p.m. The cost is $25. A parent signature on the physical form is required. Forms may be obtained from each high school or the website link below. For more information, call 972-882-7400.

Track and Field Athletes Qualify for State Meet

Four MISD track and field athletes have qualified for the UIL State Track Meet on May 9-10 at UT's Mike Myers Stadium. Qualifying from John Horn High are: Janesa Moore (triple jump), Kelsi Baker (discus, shot put), Olivia Amy (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles), and Kelsey Samuels (shot put). Representing Poteet High at the State Meet is Courtnie Allen (300 hurdles).
