Position: Groundskeeper - Athletic Turf

Description: Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Groundskeeper in the Athletic Turf Department. The appointee will report directly to the Athletic Turf Supervisor and will work closely with personnel in the Facilities Management Department as a general laborer.

Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who:

• have knowledge of landscaping and lawn care procedures.
• possess a valid Texas driver's license.
• have a working knowledge of irrigation and sprinkler systems.
• demonstrate an understanding of equipment care and operation.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

Salary: Pay Range: $8.20- $12.73 per hour; 260-day position

Employment begins: February 27, 2012 or as soon as possible
