Only parents and/or Youth Ministers are allowed to visit with students at lunch. In addition to this policy, lunches from restaurants may no longer be dropped off for Horn students; however, it may be brought if the parent/guardian stays to eat lunch with the student. That parent/guardian may not bring lunch for any other students.
Anytime a student is absent from school the parent of guardian must call the school with a reason for the absence. Ms. Lisle is the Attendance Office secretary and her number is (972)882-6786. Parents must tell the reason for the absence, give the student’s name, and grade. All absences are considered unexcused if we do not receive a call and students are not permitted to make up the work. Parent notes will not be accepted. Each student is allowed 3 parent call-ins a semester to be excused. After the third call in, proper documentation must be submitted to the attendance office in order for the additional absences to become excused.
Due to the high amount of class disturbances, we will no longer be able to deliver phone messages, lunch money, lunches, or any other type of deliveries. Please help your students plan ahead and have their school items ready the night before or the morning of the school day. Your students must have a "Plan B" in the event of unforeseen problems. In order to prepare our young adults for life, they must learn how to plan for themselves and to solve any problems that come their way.
