Students may attend tutoring, but are required to have a hall pass from the tutoring teacher. Students will not be allowed to attend tutoring after 7:50.

Ending of School Day

School is dismissed at 3:25 p.m. All students should leave the campus promptly unless they are attending tutoring , after school practices, rehearsals, etc. All students waiting for a ride must wait near the building or leave campus immediately. After 3:40 p.m., students must wait by the flag pole near the front entrance. There will be no adult supervision and the doors are locked at this time.

Attendance

When students are not in attendance, parents should call by 10 A.M. to the attendance secretary at 972-882-5902 to report reason for absence. The phone call should include the parent's name, child's name, reason for absence, and a daytime phone number that can be used to verify the absence if needed. Documentation from medical appointments, court meetings, etc. must be received in the Attendance Office within five (5) school days of a child’s return to school – or the absence will remain unexcused. No parent notes are accepted. Please call by 10:00 a.m. When students have medical appointments, court meetings, etc., please secure written documentation from doctor, dentist, judge, etc. Students are expected to be in school prior to appointments each day and return to school with documentation on that day. If a student is absent 3 or more days, we will collect assignments to be sent home. Students must be in attendance at least 1/2 of the school day in order to participate in special events.
