The purpose of the NJHS is to create an enthusiasm for superior scholarship; to develop citizenship; to stimulate a desire to serve; to promote leadership; and to instill exemplary qualities of character.

Membership Requirements:

• a cumulative average of 90 each six weeks
• no more than one B in conduct each six weeks
• at least one semester attendance at Kimbrough or another MISD middle school
