1. MEMBERSHIP: Recruit members, collect dues, donations, membership forms, beneficiary forms, sick leave bank forms and Mesquite Education Foundation forms; return all dues, donations and forms to the MEA office by September 1st. Remember DO NOT send forms through school mail.
2. FR MEETINGS: Attend scheduled FR meetings. If you are unable to attend please send the FR Alternate to represent your facility. Plan ahead by marking dates on your calendar. The Alternate should also be prepared and is always welcome to attend with you.
3. MEA NEWS:
   • Make sure your facility has a special place where MEA news may be displayed, FR Questions shared, etc. (a bulletin board or wall space with a border).
   • Share meeting information with your facility through a written, posted notice.
   • When information bundles are distributed at FR meetings, place in faculty mailboxes the following day.
4. FR QUESTIONS:
   • Make sure your facility has a place where FR Questions can be turned in confidentially. This may be an envelope or folder placed on the wall.
   • Collect FR Questions and forward to the FR Chairperson monthly. Questions need to be in school mail no later than 3 days prior to the due date so they are received on time. Late questions will be held until the next month.
   • All FR Questions must be identified by facility. Those received without facility identification will not be processed.
   • FR Questions should be sent to: Rhoda Hokanson at Poteet High School
   • You may wish to copy the FR Question sheets and place in 2 or 3 locations in your building. One complete set should be kept in a central location in a binder. This is important to eliminate duplicated questions.
   • Update the FR notebook monthly by adding a copy of the current FR Question replies.
5. MEA MAILBAG: Provide copies of Mailbag form, located in FR notebook, to your facility. Send any items given to you to the MEA Office. The deadline for submitting items to the Mailbag is the last Monday of every month. The Mailbag runs from September to May of each year.
6. TICKETS/PASSBOOKS:
   • Promote MEA Banquet ticket sales at your facility.
   • Announce and post information concerning AMC Movie tickets, Passbooks, Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, and Hawaiian Falls tickets which are sold in the MEA Office, located in the Service Center at 800 E. Kearney.
7. SICK LEAVE BANK: Forms required when applying for sick leave bank are provided in your FR Handbook. Please make copies available to your facility as needed. Individuals should contact the Benefits office for an "Authorization for Release of Medical Information" form, which is required by law.
8. COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY! Thank you for being a positive role model in our profession to all MISD employees. You are making a difference!

Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month, with the exception of November, December, January and May. They provide important, fun, and money saving information for Mesquite and the surrounding areas. You will have an opportunity to meet with Dr. Henrie and to also win a door prize! Light refreshements are served at 3:45 p.m. The meetings begin at 4:10 p.m. and are held in the Boardroom at the PDC, unless otherwise notified. If you cannot attend, please make arrangements for your alternate to represent your facilty.

FR questions are due by the 2nd Wednesday of every month, with the exception of August, November, December and January.
