High School Survey

 

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

Grade Level: 8

Prerequisite: None

Course Length: Full year

Students in this course actively learn how to research topics and issues focused on career exploration and other student centered topics tied to their core classes. Through application of the research skills, students learn how to find, manage, organize and analyze information to solve relevant problems. Critical reading/thinking skills and organizational skills are instructional elements stressed throughout the course. Communication skills are developed as students make classroom presentations and projects through use of multi-media technology and other technology tools including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.

Students also learn basic keyboarding skills during the course.
