The Mesquite Mavericks Special Olympics basketball season is off to a great start, and they will be competing in a local tournament on Saturday, January 26.

The event will be held at the Bachman Recreation Center from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and all three Mesquite Special Olympics basketball teams will be participating.

Fans will also have a chance to catch the Mesquite Mavericks as they participate in a scrimmage with Rockwall ISD on January 29 at the Rutherford Recreation Center.
