Emergency Communication Procedures
With the recent severe weather in our forecast, the North family wanted to remind our parents of the District Emergency Communication procedures. Please note that during emergency situations, our primary focus is the safety of our students and campus personnel.
Note: All MISD schools are releasing walkers and bus riders 30 minutes late today.
Additionally, all after school activities are cancelled, with the exception of tonight's band concert. If band decides to cancel, that information will be posted on the "Big Blue Band's" website.

Class of 2014 - Information Session
All juniors and their families are invited to an event on Thursday May 30, at 5:30pm. This event is hosted by our partners from The Princeton Review and is designed to let Juniors and their families know what you should be thinking about as you head into the summer and your Senior year--college applications, financial aid, the SAT if you haven't taken it, and more.
Bring your parents! This is a free event that takes place in the cafeteria here at North Mesquite High School. If you would like to reserve a spot at this event, please see Mr. Stone in P983. We look forward to seeing you there!
Spring Break 2014 in NYC
ATTENTION Juniors and Sophomores:
How would you like to go to New York City to shop in Times Square or China Town, to see the Empire State Building, the new 911 Tower, Statue of Liberty, the Modern Museum of Art, and Central Park? What about checking out a Broadway show? Not to mention the New York City food. If you will be taking an AP course, Honors course or are in GT, during the next school year, you are invited to attend the Spring Break 2014 AP Cultural Travel Tour to New York City. Each year our students come back amazed at the sights, sounds, and experiences of the City.
To pick up an application packet and find out more information, please come by F-212 to see Mr. Howard.

I635 U-Turn • Do not enter parking lot
We have been contacted by City of Mesquite officials to let us know that they will be stepping up enforcement near the front entrance to North Mesquite. That means they will begin writing more tickets to people who turn from the U-turn under I-635 into the Chevron or our parking lot. This is a huge safety issue and we don't want to see any of our students, parents or staff injured or cited for crossing the solid lines at this busy interchange.
