Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration is done on all elementary campuses. Please contact the school or go to the school website to get dates and times for registration. If you are not sure which elementary school your child will attend, you may call 972-288-6411, or you may go to www.mesquiteisd.org to the box labeled “Quick Links”. Click on “School Locator” and follow the directions.
The child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1 to attend kindergarten. Parents must bring the following information to register their kindergarten child:
- parent’s proof of residency in the district,
- the child’s birth certificate or other suitable legal document.
- child’s social security number if he/she has one,
- child’s immunization record (up-to-date), and
- the parent’s driver’s license or picture identification.
If a language other than English is spoken in the home, an appointment time for language testing will be given to the parent during registration.

Inscripción en el kindergarten
En todas las escuelas primarias del MISD se puede inscribir a los niños en el kindergarten. Comuníquese con un funcionario de la oficina de la escuela a la que asistirá su hijo(a) o bien visite el sitio web de la escuela para informarse de la fecha y la hora de la inscripción. Si no está seguro(a) a cuál primaria va a ir su hijo(a), llame al 972-288-6411 o visite el sitio web del MISD en www.mesquiteisd.org, diríjase al cuadro de Quick Links, haga click en School Locator y siga las indicaciones.
Para poder asistir al kindergarten, su hijo(a) debe haber cumplido los 5 años de edad para el 1. º de septiembre. Los padres deberán traer la siguiente información para inscribir a su hijo(a):
- Constancia de que la familia reside en el Mesquite ISD
- Acta de nacimiento del niño(a) u otro documento legal apropiado
- Número de seguro social del niño(a), si lo tiene
- Registro de vacunación al día
- Licencia de conducir o identificación con fotografía del padre o la madre
Durante la inscripción, se les informará a los padres de la hora y la fecha de la cita para la prueba de lenguaje en caso de que se hable otro idioma aparte del inglés en el hogar.
Estamos emocionados porque su hijo(a) va a cursar el kindergarten en el MISD y estamos deseando seguir trabajando juntos en la educación de su hijo(a).
