Stuttering

Mesquite Chapter of the National Stuttering Association

The chapter meets six times during the school year at the Student Support Center to provide support to students who stutter and their families. Meetings begin at 6pm and last about an hour and a half.

Topics include attitudes, effective communication skills, bullying, parent/child relationships, challenges, and setbacks that may impact a person who stutters. There will also be a panel of speakers that share their experiences as people who stutter, Finally, we end the year with a social gathering.

If you or someone you know stutters, please feel free to come by, find support and acceptance, and get connected. For more information, email Karin ManchackAmanda Trull; or Erika Crawford. We would love to hear from you.
