Poteet Career and Technology Available Courses
Career and technology courses are offered in MISD in the following seven program areas so that students may develop marketable skills and employability traits while determining educational and occupational needs and options.

Strong emphasis is placed on competency-based applied learning in these classes in order to challenge and prepare sutdents for future careers in the world influenced by technology. Learning arragements used in these courses vary from the standard one semester half-credit, full year one credit courses, pre-laboratory two or three credit courses, to work-based learning (career preparation) three credit-courses.
