Tiger H.O.P.E. Club
Help Our Planet Earth
The mission of the Terry Middle School HOPE club is to increase
environmental awareness among our student body, staff, and community.
By facilitating a school wide recycling program and other environmental
campaigns, we HOPE to persuade others to impact our school, community
and environment in postive ways.
The HOPE club meets each Thursday to complete a campus wide recycling
program from 3:30-4:00. Members are divided into with the
blue or green team which alternate duties each Thursday. At
this point, we are only able to collect paper goods in our ATIBI
Paper Retriever program. All students, families and community
members are encouraged to dispose of their paper waste in the Terry
bin located near the tennis courts on campus!
In March of 2008, new members may apply to join the HOPE club by
completing the application process. Club selection is based
upon academic progress, teacher recomendations and parental consent.
Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade are elligible. The members
of the blue or green team are led by peer elected student officers.
Information will be given through the morning announcements
of how and when to apply - look for it in March of 2008!
