Spanish

This year in 8th grade Spanish 1, the students will engage in a variety of activities that will focus on the skills of speaking, reading, writing, and listening in Spanish.  These four skills are the foundation and must be mastered in order to be fluent in a foreign language.

The students start off with basic tools like learning the alphabet, numbers, colors, and simple day to day phrases.  Then they are introduced to the present tense conjugation of verbs.  This is the glue that holds it all together and soon the students are able to write compositions and perform skits in Spanish.
