First Grade School Supplies

The following is the list of supplies needed for FIRST GRADE. Please remember that some of these items will not last all year, especially crayons, glue sticks, and erasers. Re-supply these for your child regularly. Please do not label items other than scissors. Bring school supplies in a bag with the child’s name written on the outside the first day of school. We begin working with these supplies the first day and having supplies helps a child feel prepared and ready to start a new year. Any extra supplies you would like to send will be greatly appreciated so that all children will have supplies necessary for school.

1 pair of Fiskar scissors (this brand cuts much better than others)

15 packages of glue sticks (no glue bottles)

4 24 count boxes of Crayola brand crayons (no more than a 24 count box each please, these will be distributed 4 times during the year)

8 count Crayola brand Classic Color markers

5 PLASTIC pocket folders with brads- 2 blue, 1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow

3 college ruled spirals - 120 sheet subject notebook best-

1 red, 1 blue, 1 green

2 dozen pencils - yellow, #2, all wood (no decorative pencils)

1 pencil bag (the thicker the better, “bank bag”, NO BOXES)

1 large box of Kleenex tissues

1 highlighter

1 box of quart size FREEZER zip-loc bags (the thicker ones)

1 package of manilla paper - 12X9 size with 50 sheets

1 set of standard headphones (to use in computer lab- very much needed)

1 package of multi-colored, heavy weight construction paper (we really like the brand at Mardel)

Please do not purchase these items for school use: trapper keepers or other binders, supply boxes, pencil sharpeners, crayon boxes with more than 24 crayons, rulers, or decorative pencils.
