The purpose of Crime Stoppers is to promote a safe school environment for students, teachers, staff, and anyone else who is on our campus. We try to teach the students responsibility and the importance of being a positive role model to their peers and in the community. We seek leaders and positive role models for our Crime Stopper membership. We are always looking for students who have an interest in making West Mesquite the safest and best school to attend.

Officer Gafford (our departing SRO) initiated a "Text-a-Tip" program last year, and our principal, Mr.Adams, paid for us to have several colorful banners we designed, made, and put up around school advertising this program. Since then, it has been an incredible tool in helping us recover stolen property and reduce the drugs on our campus. West Mesquite is moving in the right direction and has made a lot of positive gains in reducing crime on our campus. We are currently the only high school Crime Stopper organization in Mesquite ISD that has this program in place. It has been a great success since its inception!!
