Calendar of Events

2011-2012 Schedule

On October 14, 2011, the Color Guard from West Mesquite JROTC presented the Colors for World War II Veterans at DFW. The Veterans were leaving with the Honor Flight from the DFW airport to go to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial.

The Color Guard consisted of Cadet Private Andy Tolentino, Cadet Sergeant Cedric Green, Cadet Captain Carlos Terrazas, Cadet First Sergeant Steven Servellon, and Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Shyanne Fagg.

Cadet Fagg was privileged to join Lucy Berroteran in singing the National Anthem for the Veterans before they left. The other four Color Guard members were commanded by Retired Sergeant Major Robert Blatnik Color Guard Commander, a World War II Veteran who served in the U.S. Army. The experience was one that will stay with these students for their whole lives.
