Print Collection
Our collection includes a strong reference collection, literary classics, and an impressive fiction collection.
Books may be checked out for two weeks with a student ID card. Late fees are $.10 per day per item. Our system allows our patrons to renew their materials at home by using the online catalog. Just go to "my stuff". The student needs to use their ID number for the login, and their house number for the password.
The Wrangler library subscribes to three newspapers and over forty magazines, which are available for check out.
Online Access
Our library provides student access to twenty networked computers. All are equipped with access to first-rate online databases, encyclopedias, our online catalog, and more. Students may print for $.05 a page
Library Staff
Our staff is made up of one full time librarian and one full time paraprofessional aide. Our goal is to make the library a place that students feel welcome. We strive to be sure that our library meets the curricular needs of our teachers and students.
Mr. David Cheney enters his 10th year as a high school librarian. He comes to us from Round Rock ISD where he served as high school librarian for 5 years and El Paso ISD for 4 years prior to that. His duties include (but are not limited to) working directly with reseach classes in the library, circulating materials to students and staff, and continuous collection development of library materials.
Mrs. Bree Bell
serves as library assistant. Her duties are numerous, and include the daily operations of the circulation system, clerical duties, and helping patrons.
