The West Mesquite High School Orchestra reflects and enhances the cultural diversity of its community by bringing students together to rehearse and perform orchestral music in an educational setting. Students learn the importance of a cooperative team effort while working with fellow members to accomplish the shared goals of commitment, artistry and excellence. They also practice respect, responsibility, self discipline and leadership.

The WMHS Orchestra follows a performance schedule that includes individual and group concerts, competitions and trips. Social activities are also held periodically throughout the year. The program is committed to enriching the lives of its students by providing opportunities for students to develop a lifelong appreciation of music and by developing the skills and discipline necessary for achieving success throughout life.
