Senator John Cornyn Visits West Mesquite High School - October 2011

On Wednesday, October 26,
U.S. Senator John Cornyn and wife, Mrs. Cornyn, met with MISD's School Board, Central Office Team and student representatives from WM. MISD has won numerous awards over the past 2 years for financial management, academic success, School Board governance and community investment. Senator Cornyn wished to meet with our district regarding our success in these areas. WM was chosen by Central Office Administration to host the event.
Attendees included Dr. Linda Henrie,
MISD Superintendent; Dr. Cathy Rideout, Associate Superintendent; School Board and Trustee representatives Robert Seward,
Vice President; Phil Appenzeller, Secretary; Gary Bingham; Archimedes Faulkner; Christina Hall; Cary Tanamachi, M.D.; and WM Principal, Keith Adams.
WM student representatives were Jennifer Vu and DeQuawn Johnson and student photographer Sonya Naderi, and MISD photographer Wade Odom. |
