Mesquite STEM - CEOP stipend

The Staff Training for Effective Management (STEM) is a professional development program designed for educational support personnel. The STEM program is sponsored by the Texas Educational Support Staff Association, Inc. (TESA). The program was developed in cooperation with the Texas Education Agency, Texas Association of School Administrators, Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association, Texas Association of Secondary School Principals, Texas Public Community/Junior College Association, University of Texas and other professional educational associations. The original program was funded through an ECIA, Chapter 2, and Section 277 grant.

Mesquite ISD offers STEM classes through Staff Development. You can enroll in classes through Staff Development in the fall and spring.  MISD will pay the cost of the class; however, you will not receive "pay for knowledge" money for taking the class since MISD pays the tuition. Save your STEM certificates once you start earning them, so you can submit them for STEM certification when you complete the certification requirements. When you have earned your Certified Educational Office Professional (CEOP) distinction, the district will award you a one-time lump sum payment of $500.
