National Champion HOSA Students from Mesquite HS and Vanguard HS

In June, seven students from Mesquite HS and Vanguard HS competed at the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. HOSA-Future Health Professionals, is a global student-led organization, whose mission is to promote career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.

These MISD students engaged in professional skills competitions and we are excited to announce the following outstanding results at this national competition: 

Mesquite High School

Hunter Gilmore - National Champion, Life Support Skills
Kayla Trujillo - 
National Runner Up, Life Support Skills

Priscilla Eappen, Edith Ibeke, Liana Awe, and Danette Sanchez
National Champions - Public Health (these students beat over 100 teams for the win!)

Vanguard High School

Rose Vazquez - National Semifinalist, Sports Medicine
