Summer Technology Agreement

Summer Technology Agreement
Summer Device Flyer

MISD students in Kindergarten through 11th grade will now have the opportunity to take their school assigned device home over the summer.

This new summer check-out program will allow students to access ebooks, audiobooks, and the ReadSquared summer reading program on their own device all summer. Additionally, having their school assigned device at home over the summer allows students to access online educational resources to explore and create. Reading, thinking, and creating over the summer continues to build the skills students learn in school and decreases the chance of learning loss while school is not in session.

We are asking each family to complete the Summer Technology Agreement in Skyward to choose from two options for their child’s school assigned device over the summer. (See links to instructions and frequently asked questions below.) Option 1 is for the device to go home over the summer. Option 2 is for the device to stay on campus over the summer. This form needs to be signed by May 14, 2023. We encourage students to keep their school assigned devices home over the summer to access books, the summer reading program, and other digital resources for students to explore during the summer months. Tips for how to access & use these resources will be shared throughout the summer.
