Business & Industry Partnerships

  • Strong communities are built through collaboration between education, business and industry, and community members. The Mesquite ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Board serves as the bridge that connects these groups, ensuring our programs prepare students for success in both college and careers.

    The Advisory Board works to:

    • Provide guidance in both short- and long-range planning for CTE programs.

    • Share insight on current workforce needs to ensure courses remain relevant and aligned with industry expectations.

    • Recommend equipment, training, and resources that strengthen CTE programs.

    • Support students through scholarships that encourage continued education and career preparation beyond high school.

    • Build community and political support for CTE initiatives.

By serving on our Advisory Board, business and industry partners have the opportunity to shape the future workforce, advocate for CTE, and help equip students with the skills they need to succeed.

  • Our Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs are designed to prepare students for life after high school, but nothing inspires them more than hearing directly from professionals in the field. Guest speakers bring learning to life by:

    • Sharing real-world experiences and career journeys.

    • Helping students connect classroom lessons to workplace skills.

    • Offering insight into industry trends and expectations.

    • Motivating students to explore future college and career opportunities.
