Operating to serve the students, teachers & staff of the Mesquite Independent School District, the Mesquite ISD Communications Department consolidates the major communications vehicles of the district into one department for better coordination and dissemination of information.  The department includes 31 full-time employees, plus part-timers and students, and encompasses public information, publications, print shop, electronic media services and KEOM, 88.5 FM.  Each of these award-winning departments functions with one goal -- to maintain an ongoing, open and effective communications process which provides an environment of understanding and support for the Mesquite schools.  The Communications Department is dedicated to being service oriented.

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Planning & Improvement the Communications Department also plans various special events and recognition celebrations.
