FREE SUMMER BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Children in Mesquite will once again be able to enjoy a free nutritious meal throughout the summer. Mesquite ISD will be the sponsor for the Summer Food Service Program for free breakfast and free lunch for our community. This program is provided to the community by the Texas Department of Agriculture.

No advance qualifying or registration is required. This program is open to all children ages 1 to 18 years of age regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Meals will be served daily at these specific district school cafeterias listed below. Please notice the dates and times for each site.  To enter most cafeterias follow the signs to the rear entrance of the buildings.

Rules for Summer Nutrition Program

  • Parents who choose to eat with their children may purchase a Breakfast for $1.50 and Lunch for $3.00.
  • Parents are not allowed to eat from the child’s meal at any time.
  • Due to Health and Sanitary Rules, all the meals must be eaten in the school cafeteria; no part of the meal may be taken away from the cafeteria at anytime.
