To help your child identify a well-balanced meal, each menu item has been categorized as “Go”, “Slow” or “Whoa.”
Go foods have the lowest amount of fat, Slow foods have a moderate amount of fat, and
Whoa foods have the highest amount of fat.
Choose a Five-Star Meal!
Encourage your student to choose a Five-Star Meal comprised milk, fruit, grains, meat, and vegetables. To be considered a complete meal, students select a minimum of three items including at least one fruit or vegetable.
For breakfast, students can choose three or four items including an entrée, fruit, juice or milk. Entrées consist of either two grains or a meat and a grain. Breakfast serving times vary for each campus; contact your child’s school for information.
Water is also available upon request.
Alternate meal for all campuses if a student does not have enough money for lunch will be:
- 1 or 2 vegetables (all grade levels)
- 1 fruit in elementary & 1 or 2 fruits in middle and high school
- Choice of milk for all grades
- ISS – (not eating in the cafeteria) cheese sandwich and choice of milk
