Porter's library program helps students prepare for TAKS by:
  • discussing literary elements with grade levels during read alouds and research units
  • providing research experiences for all grade levels that focus on critical thinking skills and TAKS/TEKS objectives
  • using questioning techniques with emphasis on higher order thinking skills
  • provide access to quality literature
  • integrate technology
