The
B.J. Smith Elementary library helps students reinforce the TEKS
and prepare for the TAKS test by:
- discussing
literary elements such as setting, characters, plot, problem &
solution, cause & effect, comparing & contrasting, making
predictions, inferences and sequencing during read alouds
- providing
research opportunities for all grade levels with lessons to prepare
the students to be successful by taking notes with graphic organizers
and making summaries from graphic organizer notes
