Interview with the Librarian: Mrs. Melissa Alvarez
What college did you attend?
"I attended Oklahoma City University (OCU) for my undergraduate degree and University of North Texas (UNT) for my Master's in Library and Information Science."
What did you do before you became a librarian?
" I taught Bilingual Language Arts to grades 1st through 5th for 6 years,, specializing in Reading."
What are your hobbies?
" I love to travel, cook, spend time with my husband, do Pilates, and, of course, read!!!"
Tell us about Terry Library.
"Terry has a wonderful library full of fantastic resources. The smooth operation of the library has a lot to do with the student workers. They maintain the library checkouts and shelving so that I can spend time working to fulfill the curricular needs of students and teachers. The library workers become experts in finding information and learn important career skills such as customer service and time manangement."
