Mesquite Education Association (MEA)

MEA had its beginnings in 1958 when it formed under the name Mesquite Teachers Association. Dr. Ralph H. Poteet, who later became the Superintendent of Schools, served as the organization's second president during the 1960-61 school year. The name was changed to Mesquite Education Association in 1970.
