State-Funded College Entrance Exams

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has announced the availability of state-funded college entrance examinations for current 11th grade public and home-schooled students. Funding allows approximately 60 percent of grade 11 students to register for and take one college entrance exam in late spring or early summer 2011 at the state's expense. Students must obtain an exam voucher (TCCP voucher) in order to register for a state-funded exam. Home-schooled students may request a voucher from TEA by sending an email request to CollegePrepProgram@tea.state.tx.us. Requestor should use "Home School Voucher Request" as the subject line. Vouchers will be distributed to home-schooled students on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning in early January 2011.

June 4

Mesquite ISD juniors should see their school counselor to obtain a voucher.
