    NSHSS Foundation STEM Scholarships

    NSHSS Foundation scholarships have been created to help reduce financial barriers for high school students as they prepare for upcoming careers in STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), business, economics, public policy, and environmental science and sustainability. The Foundation seeks to engage these future leaders in order to help fuel the global economy, stimulate innovation and creativity, and yield a strong ethical foundation for decision-making. We seek to support higher education to enable our future leaders to achieve their dreams.

    2024 Juvenile Justice Scholarship

    The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a vocational program or two to four year post-secondary institution for the Spring 2025 semester.

    Employees of The Law Offices of Mark Sherman, LLC, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the competition.

    Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

    2024 Women in Leadership Scholarship

    The applicant must be a female-identifying student pursuing post-secondary education. Qualifying degrees include associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, graduate degrees, business school degrees, medical degrees, or law degrees offered by accredited U.S. institutions. Incoming first-year college students are also eligible to apply if they possess a valid GED or high school diploma. Candidates must exhibit strong leadership skills, as demonstrated by past and present educational, professional, and volunteer experiences. All applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, as indicated by an official academic transcript. Applications without this information will not be considered.

    2024 Recognizing Public Servants Scholarship

    This scholarship is offered to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess a GED.

    The scholarship candidate must be interested in public service, as demonstrated by past and present volunteer, professional, and educational experiences.

    All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

    A female citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada with 1) a permanent address in the Dallas Metropolitan Area OR 2) is or will be attending an accredited post-secondary school in the Dallas Metropolitan Area ● Has a 3.5 GPA or an excellent work evaluation if returning to school after an extended absence ● Presently attends or has submitted application to attend her school of choice Chapter DX is looking for a woman who exhibits a clear understanding of her plans for the future and demonstrates the quality of commitment necessary to accomplish her goals. Initiative and leadership are valued. Though we will be accepting scholarship applications from women of any age, working on any course of study, each applicant will be compared to her peers (i.e., a high school senior will not be compared to a graduate student, but to other high school seniors).

    Employees of Ponce Law, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the competition.

    Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

    Proof of Tennessee residence or Tennessee College student account will be needed before the scholarship check is issued to the institution of the scholarship winner’s choice.

    This scholarship opportunity is available to current high school seniors, vocational students, college students, or graduate students who are legal residents of the United States, reside in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia, and are enrolled in either a vocational program or two to four-year post-secondary institution for the 2024-2025 academic year.

    The Injured Individual Scholarship gives students a chance to examine the ripple effect of personal injuries and explain the importance of supporting injured victims.     This scholarship is open to high school seniors, vocational students, college students, and graduate students legally residing in the United States who are enrolled in or will be enrolled in a vocational program or a two to five-year post-secondary institution for the 2024 fall semester

    The Combating Campus Issues Scholarship is open to all students currently enrolled in an accredited community college, junior college, undergraduate, or graduate institution within the United States.

    High school graduates on the verge of beginning their college studies and existing GED holders, will also be considered for the award.

    The strongest candidates for this scholarship are those who can skillfully articulate their personal understanding of the problems on college campuses.
