Meritorious Budget Award
The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has recognized Mesquite Independent School District for excellence in budget presentation with the Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) for the 2024-25 budget year. This award reflects Mesquite ISD's commitment to sound fiscal management and budgetary policies.
Award of Excellence in Financial Management
The TASBO (Texas Association of School Business Officials) Award of Excellence in Financial Management recognizes Texas school districts, open-enrollment charter schools, and education service centers that have implemented professional standards, best practices, and innovations in financial reporting. The Mesquite ISD Business Office was one of only 32 in the state to earn this recognition in 2025.
Purchasing Award of Merit
The Mesquite ISD Purchasing Department provides excellence by establishing policies and procedures for purchasing products and services at the best value and in a manner consistent with local, state, and federal ordinances, regulations, Board policies, and sound ethical business practices.
