How We Serve You

Counseling Services
Mesquite ISD Counseling Services are vital to the success of students and the school district. Our highly qualified counselors promote student achievement and personal/social development for all students. MISD school counselors guide students through their academic journey by providing resources and services divided into four areas: guidance curriculum, responsive services, individual planning, and system support.

Enrollment
Mesquite ISD Administrative Services supports and oversees the enrollment process for qualifying PreK–12th–grade students living within the boundaries and eligible to attend Mesquite ISD schools.

Health Services
Mesquite ISD Health Services contributes to students' success by overseeing their well-being and health at school. Each campus in MISD has a registered nurse assigned to fulfill the school nurse's duties. School nurses work with students and their families, school personnel, the community, and health care providers to advocate for student health and a healthy school environment.

Special Education

Mesquite ISD Special Education team members are committed to helping every student reach their full potential through collaboration, compassion, and a focus on growth and success.

Transportation Services
Mesquite ISD Transportation Services is dedicated to providing safe and reliable bus transportation for students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular events.

Students who live at least two miles from their school or travel a hazardous route, as determined by Texas Education Agency guidelines, are eligible for bus transportation provided by MISD.

MTSS

Mesquite ISD’s Multi-Tiered System of Support is a collaborative, data-driven framework that fosters academic, social, and emotional success for every student. The success of this system is driven by:

  • Defining common language, roles, and responsibilities across all campuses
  • Ensuring equitable access for all students
  • Maximizing utilization of research-based instruction and interventions
  • Using valid and reliable assessment data to drive clearly defined tiers of intervention
  • Maintaining a balance of both consistency and flexibility, adapting to the evolving needs
  • of learners and knowledge
  • Empowering staff with resources, training, and practices that honor the complexity and importance of continuous learning
