The Promise League is a network of campus PTOs and PTAs that offers parents, grandparents, and guardians meaningful opportunities to support the students and staff of their child's school throughout their journey in Mesquite ISD.
A new and exciting alliance of dads and dad-like positive influencers of the young people in our schools. Each of our five high school feeder patterns and Vanguard High School will operate as its own chapter and will welcome fathers, grandfathers, alumni, clergy, extended family members, and community leaders to make a meaningful impact in our schools.
Mesquite ISD offers many ways for families to get involved and make a difference in our schools. Each campus has a PTA or PTO that is part of our Promise League, providing opportunities to support students and staff through meaningful initiatives. Additionally, we’re excited to launch the Dads (and Difference Makers) on Duty program at each of our five feeder patterns and Vanguard High School, inviting male role models to volunteer as mentors and positive adult presences. Parents, grandparents, and guardians are encouraged to contact their child’s school directly to discover more ways to contribute. We value your partnership in fostering a thriving school community!

Volunteer in Mesquite ISD
Before you can volunteer on a campus in Mesquite ISD you must complete an annual Volunteer Criminal History Record Check.
Once you apply, Raptor will email you to let you know your application is awaiting approval. Once your application has been processed, a separate notification of approval or denial will be sent. Background checks must be completed annually, so you will also receive reminders 30 days and again 15 days before your application expires.
As of Oct. 1, 2024, we have launched a new volunteer registration platform on this page. Volunteers previously approved between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2024, will NOT need to reapply in the new system. Campuses have access to the approval list of cleared volunteers.
Note: Volunteering in this capacity does not apply to Athletics. To coach in the state of Texas you must meet all UIL Coaching Requirements.
