Mia Morles
Mia Morales
North Mesquite High School | Teaching & Training
Class of 2025
Mia Morales has always known she was meant to be a teacher. As a young girl, she would line up her stuffed animals and lead pretend lessons with care and imagination. That early spark became something more when she began volunteering at Head Start. Watching the quiet power of a compassionate teacher shape a child’s early learning showed Mia that her dream was more than pretend. It was a calling.
Through Made to Teach, Mesquite ISD’s teaching and training program, Mia has discovered not only direction but confidence and clarity. She now sees the classroom as a place where she can lead, serve, and inspire. She knows the kind of educator she wants to become: one who listens, lifts others, and continues to grow every day.
Mia’s growth has come through real challenges. During her freshman year, she experienced the painful loss of her father. At the same time, she managed family responsibilities and health struggles in the wake of COVID. She credits her strength to her faith and to her mother, who raised four children while earning a master’s degree. That example of perseverance continues to guide her.
Mia plans to begin her college journey at Tarleton State University and later transfer to Texas A&M to earn a degree in early childhood education. Her vision extends beyond the classroom. She dreams of becoming a child psychologist and opening a space where every child feels seen, safe, and supported.
“Everything I have faced has prepared me for this,” Mia says. Her resilience, compassion, and unwavering sense of purpose reflect the very best of Mesquite ISD. She is ready to lead with love and make a lasting impact in the lives of students and families.
