Mesquite ISD Athletics Formally Inducts Class of 2026 into Hall of Honor

Mesquite ISD Athletics celebrated a new chapter in its rich athletic history on Friday, September 4, as the Class of 2026 was formally inducted into the Mesquite ISD Athletics Hall of Honor. Established in 2018, the Hall of Honor recognizes athletic excellence throughout the history of Mesquite ISD, honoring individuals and teams in the categories of athlete, coach, team and legacy member. This year’s distinguished class includes Ross Hall, Sarah “Wolfie” Wolfskill, Mark Elam, Ted Nowell Jr., Kelsi Baker, Malik Jefferson, Eddie Phillips and the 2006-07 Mesquite High School Boys Basketball Team. The day was filled with celebration as this year’s inductees were honored during a special induction ceremony where friends, family, former teammates, coaches and members of the Mesquite ISD community gathered to celebrate their accomplishments and lasting impact on Mesquite ISD Athletics. The celebration continued that evening at Memorial Stadium, where the inductees were recognized during halftime of the West Mesquite vs. Poteet football game.
We’d like to extend a special thank you to this year’s cornerstone sponsors, White Properties, BSN, WRA Architects and Scooter’s Coffee, for helping make this celebration possible.
