Made in Mesquite: Randye Rand
2006 Mesquite High School graduate Randye Rand went from playing on the Skeeters basketball team to changing the game of sports marketing in the Big Apple. He began his impressive career in the National Basketball Association (NBA), building relationships with some of the game’s most recognizable names and helping bring major league moments to life. Today, as Vice President of Talent Partnerships at Fulwell Entertainment, his work has expanded beyond basketball to the broader worlds of sports, music, television and film.
When reflecting on his time in Mesquite ISD, Rand credits the programs and opportunities afforded to him with helping to develop skills that would become increasingly valuable in his career. While the path he chose wasn’t necessarily a part of his plan in the beginning, he felt better prepared to pursue it because of the foundation he began building as a student.
