This week, we're celebrating some of the amazing hearts behind our Promise League PTO—volunteers who go the extra mile for our schools, students, and staff.
Cassandra Morris | Kimbrough Middle
Whether it’s STEM Night, school dances, or handwritten thank-you cards, Cassandra shows up with purpose and passion. She even stepped into district-level facility planning to help shape the future for all kids. Her advice? “You can volunteer as much or as little as you want—just show up for your kids.”
Sara Bowshewicz | Shands Elementary
Known affectionately as “Gabe’s mom,” Sara has been a constant presence in our schools since her oldest started elementary. Now with kids in middle school, she plans to continue volunteering all the way through high school. “It’s like building a family along the way,” she says. Sara is passionate about tearing down the walls that went up during the pandemic, encouraging more parents to get involved again. “We’re back—and it’s so good to see parents in schools again.”
Jessica Richardson | Gray Elementary
From sorting candy to crafting balloon arches and chalking the walk, Jessica does it all with heart. A stay-at-home mom who’s always ready to lend a hand, she’s a steady presence, making every student feel seen and supported. “Even if they’re not my kids, they know Ms. Richardson—and they know I’m here to help.”
To our incredible Promise League: THANK YOU. You make our schools stronger, brighter, and more connected. It’s free to join, there’s no obligation, and every little bit of help goes a long way.
