Middle School Champions: Celebrating MISD’s Fall Athletics Success

🏈 Middle School Football Championships

The MISD Middle School Football Championships were held this week, bringing together talented student-athletes and dedicated coaches for an exciting finish to the season.

Congratulations to our 2024 MISD Middle School Football Champions and their coaching staffs:

  • 8th Grade A Team Champions: Frasier Middle School – Coach Chad Tollentino & Staff

  • 8th Grade B Team Champions: McDonald Middle School – Coach Terry Teel & Staff

  • 7th Grade A Team Champions: Berry Middle School – Coach David Faggett & Staff

  • 7th Grade B Team Champions: McDonald Middle School – Coach Terry Teel & Staff

🎾 Middle School Tennis Championships

The competition continued on the courts at the Westlake Tennis Center, where MISD hosted its Middle School Boys and Girls Doubles Tennis Tournaments earlier this week.

Girls Doubles Tournament – Monday, October 27

8th Grade

  • Champions: Faith Haskins & Ella Yost – Agnew MS (Coach Jon Urreta)

  • Runners-up: Rileigh McCall & Maddyson Ibarra – Agnew MS (Coach Jon Urreta)

7th Grade

  • Champions: Catherine Faundez & Scarlett Camacho – Wilkinson MS (Coach Daiquain Jackson)

  • Runners-up: Janae Jimenez & Alejandra Caracheo – Agnew MS (Coach Jon Urreta)

 

Boys Doubles Tournament – Tuesday, October 28

8th Grade

  • Champions: Mario Elias & Qosy Alqerm – Terry MS (Coach Anthony Conway)

  • Runners-up: Jose Saucedo & Simon Aparicio – Agnew MS (Coach Jon Urreta)

7th Grade

  • Champions: Carlos Eleazar & Greyson Bryant – Berry MS (Coach Jared Stovall)

  • Runners-up: Matthew Caceres & Tre’vonn Chambers – Berry MS (Coach Jared Stovall)
