Mesquite ISD is proud to announce the 2026 Principals and District Teachers of the Year. These exceptional leaders were selected by committees comprised of district staff members in recognition of their dedicaton, leadership, and commitment to excellence:

Kaley Palmer, Achziger Elementary School
Jeffrey Blackwell, Poteet High School
The honorees will be formally recognized at the upcoming Mesquite Education Foundation Gala on March 7, and at the Mesquite ISD Board Meeting on March 9. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and are grateful for the difference they make each day in Mesquite ISD.
